The digital and programming systems necessary for the functioning of the urban spaces that comprise Milla Digital
- Water wall: An interactive fountain system in which falling streams of water can be controlled by digital means. The wall will be urban-scaled, like a canal running through the city, but twisted into the vertical plane, so that it can be observed from a distance. (+ information PDF)
- Digital bus stops: an interactive model that will provide information and maps about the route that each citizen wishes to take, it will permit the use of display screens, activated by touch or by mobile phone and it will provide wireless connectivity. It also has variable architecture which will permit the shape and position of some of the elements of the arcade to change in agreement with the climatological needs of the moment and the number of users in the place. (+ information PDF)
- Memory paving: it records pedestrian movement across a given space by using digitally responsible ground surfacing. (+ information PDF)
- Urban pixels (LED lighting):It is an autonomous lighting device that can be affixed to existing buildings and to temporary structures. Placed along a series of façades it traces the mile-long zone of Milla Digital in the city. (+ information PDF)
- Digital façades and Displays: It will be possible to combine the various effects of emitted light. Theatrical effects can be produced by varying the balance of transparency and reflectivity of layers and of light, either ambient or projected, in front of or behind the layers. (+ information PDF)
- Digital awnings: They are movable screens mounted on the buildings adjacent to the digital plaza and Portillo promenade. The movement of the awnings can be digitally controlled. (+ information PDF)
- Smart parking: Search for parking by using digital technology. (+ information PDF)
